Director, Planning

The Director of Planning & Allocations/Replenishment leads the development of the Financial Merchandise Planning and the execution phase of Allocation and/or Replenishment strategies. These strategies will determine how to most effectively utilize our inventory to support merchandise plan, advertising and competitive initiatives. The Director also mentors, trains, develops and manages day-to day activities of the Allocations Replenishment Managers, eComm Category Planning Manager, and Planning Managers. Oversees the development of Pre-Season and In Season financial plans that help drive merchandising initiatives to grow top lines sales, ensuring profitability and maximizing inventory productivity. As a business leader, the Director is responsible for consulting, developing, and implementing enterprise wide process and technology improvements. Partner with the merchandising leadership to drive overall SKU reduction goals and key item intensification. Develop and drive strategies to support increased comp. sales growth and in-stocks within our top 225 doors vs. the balance of the chain. Responsibilities: Maintain proper inventory levels by store location to support sales, margin and turn goals. Work to increase inventory productivity in all deciles through analysis and collaboration with business partners. Partner with Buyers, Planners and distribution centers to create merchandise allocation and replenishment buy strategies. Monitor new store performance after opening, communicate with new store team and field support team to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained. Ensure new stores open with the correct assortment and appropriate inventory levels as determined by the new store plan. Collaborate with internal and external business partners on item flows, ladder plans, E3 forecasts and advertising schedule. Recommend and execute inventory re-balancing opportunities as necessary and partners with Supply chain teams to most efficiently flow goods to stores. Work with Allocations & Replenishment Managers to drive and implement allocation and replenishment strategies, including regional and seasonal opportunities. Create ad-hoc analysis to react to current and future business trends and present findings to DMM's and senior management. Leads financial planning process based on historical data and business trends. Delivering Item Assortment plans, Vendor Plans, Ladder Plans, and Financial Plans. Manage Open To Buy/Weekly Forecasting process to ensure fiscal responsibility around buy cycle and business trends Mentor, train, develop and manage day-to day activities of Allocations & Replenishment Managers, Merchandise Planners and Senior Merchandise Planners. Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the organization. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, 10-15 years of relevant experience 10+ years business experience (Retail buying, planning, and allocations preferred). 18000G44

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
