Software Engineer Loss Prevention

We are looking for a talented Software Engineers to join the newly formed Loss Prevention Product Team. You will be accountable to drive economic value through accurate, efficient, and cost-effective methods of protecting people, assets, and products. Your focus will be on the strategies and enablement of LP infrastructure which includes; firearms management system, video cameras used in all facilities including ways to proactively use cameras to assist athlete in making purchases and reduce shrink, case management and investigations, proactive monitoring of in-store purchase funnel, access management, merchandise tagging standards, and online payments fraud management. The scope of this role includes learning and iterating on existing technology stack while developing and migrating to new twelve-factor applications and microservices using open source technologies than can be leveraged across our organization. You will work side by side with your Product Manager, Designer and other Engineers in a collaborative office environment along with your key stakeholders Loss Prevention, Payments, and Customers. The Software Engineer is responsible for joining the Loss Prevention product team and contributing to the software design, software development, and overall product lifecycle for a product that our users love. The engineering process is highly collaborative. Software Engineers are expected to pair on a daily basis as they work through user stories and support products as they evolve. In addition, Software Engineers may be involved in product configuration, performance tuning and testing as well as production monitoring. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
